I ran into an older Japanese lady at a grocery store one day, and she told me about an annual Japanese Bon Dance Festival that takes place in Greenville. My parents happened to be in town for the event, so we all dressed up in our Japanese outfits and headed to the event. It brought back memories of my childhood, when I used to attend these summer festivals in Japan with family and friends. It was neat to experience them with my mom and my girls, in Greenville!
