New House

My Facebook post on our move:

WE. ARE. HOME.
(We moved in 1 week ago but today was the first time we were able to tackle a family photo)
It’s been quite a journey to get here…but my heart is filled with nothing but gratitude.
-Grateful for family who came to help us and who sent their warm thoughts and support from a distance.
-Grateful for our new friends here who helped us in so many ways, and for old friends who kept checking in and celebrated with us from a distance.
-Grateful for our new neighbors who have welcomed us so warmly already. It’s exactly the kind of neighborhood atmosphere we were hoping for! The kids are thrilled to have neighbors to play with.
-Grateful for our new city, Greenville. It was love at first sight and we’ve only experienced one confirmation after another that this is HOME for us. Perfect example was yesterday: after a Great race with my running group from the Y (at a beautiful nature trail in town), I drove around town dropping the girls off at various birthday parties, ran into one of their teachers (who wanted to spend her Saturday with her students at a princess tea party), then I drove by and waved to a friend from church who was doing her long-distance run, then the kids and I met with another friend & her family at a nearby park…It was a busy day, but my heart was so full!
-Grateful for my husband, the hardest working person that I have ever known. He is so diligent, wise, and responsible with our finances. That is why we were able to move in with 50% down and good possibility of having the rest paid off in the near future. No other debt. Most of all, it’s his giving heart that inspires me. He hates to spend money on himself, yet loves to give to anyone in need. I know it was not in his nature to buy a big house like this, but we truly desire for our home to be used to bless others in many ways, for many years to come.
-Grateful for my God…who loves to surpass all my expectations. He placed a dream in our hearts years ago (regarding both where to live and the house)…and although it took longer than we expected, with some surprises along the way, His presence guided us every single step…and now we are here. Our new adventure awaits. To Him be all the glory.

On Auntie La’s visit:

A big thank you to Auntie La who flew in for the wknd just to help us move. She was a HUGE help from the moment she arrived to the moment she left. We are so touched and grateful. We love you! ‪#‎family‬ ‪#‎thankful‬

On Bumpa & Nana’s visit:

Bumpa & Nana stayed with us for 2.5 wks – and we worked them harder than any retired person should have to 😁 From moving loads & loads of stuff to building furniture (I think they can work for IKEA assembly team now) to house chores to babysitting…we appreciate ALL of it! And of course, the kids loved having their Bumpa & Nana here. We will have more projects ready by the time they return 😉 ‪#‎thankful‬ ‪#‎family‬
