I heard from one of our friends that Downtown Jacksonville had transitioned into a more festive atmosphere during the day. On Good Friday, with school being out for all the girls, we decided to venture into downtown. We first enjoyed a craft time at the main library making paper-bag kites. We unexpectedly ran into a friend there who works at the library. We then headed outside to explore the courtyard area (Hemming Park). They had various vendors selling food/drinks and fun gigantic game pieces. The girls enjoyed some popsicles. We then drove to European Street Cafe for a late lunch. If you’re in Jacksonville, we definitely recommend this restaurant (they have multiple locations throughout Jax). Another fun family day!
